Perfect recipe for those wanting to stay on track yet enjoy a delicious Nando's!

This toasted pitta filled with grilled PERi-PERi chicken breasts, grilled halloumi cheese, caramelised red onion relish and wild garlic aioli, topped with lettuce... YUM!


  • 4 chicken breasts

  • 3 tablespoons Piri Piri Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons of extra light mayo

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 4 Pitta Breads

  • 1 pack Halloumi

  • 1 tablespoon Caramelised red onion relish

  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Aioli (light)

  • Lettuce


1. Chop the chicken into slices and toss in the piri-piri sauce, mayo, paprika and garlic powder. Heat a griddle pan or normal non-stir frying pan and grill on all sides for 10-12 mins in total or until cooked through and a little charred. Meanwhile, warm the pittas in a toaster.

2. Grill the Halloumi Cheese

3. Slice the pittas in half, stuff with Halloumi, caramelised red onion, Garlic Aioli and lettuce, then add the chicken into the pittas.
