Homemade Protein bar with chocolate layer


These are WOW!

So delicious, limited ingredients and so easy to make!


And you don't need to bake them!


Protein bars can be full of ingredients with names we can even pronounce. These are ok to consume alongside a healthy and balance diet but its also good to sometimes relieve your body of these ingredients by substituting with a more natural snack.








INGREDIENTS: Makes 8 squares

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

  • 10g coconut oil

  • 1/3 honey

  • 1 tbsp coconut flour (could use ground oats)

  • 60g protein powder

Topping

  • 100g chocolate

  • 20g peanut butter

METHOD:

  1. In a bowl mix the peanut butter, coconut oil, honey. Microwave for 30s just so its soft

  2. Add the coconut flour and protein powder to the bowl and mix to form a dough like structure

  3. Melt the chocolate and peanut butter - I usually do it in the microwave in short bursts and mix every 20-30s

  4. In a lined tin or tupperware flatten the dough-like mixture until flat and compress.

  5. Pour the chocolate and peanut butter on top

  6. Fridge for 2-3 hours or overnight
